Ascot Resources Intersects 125.50 g/t Gold Over 1.50 Metres at Premier

The Premier property covers more than one hundred square kilometres near the town of Stewart in northwest BC, and includes the old Premier Mine, a past producer of 2.1 MOz Au and 44.9 MOz Ag.

Highlights of Release:

  • In its last set of results from its expanded 2016 drill program the Company announces hole P16-1216 in the 609 zone area which intersected an uncut average of 125.50 g/t gold over a core length of 1.50 meters within a broader interval grading 13.71 g/t Au over 14.80 meters. The 609 zone has been returning a number of high grade values in 2016. The 609 zone is a steep dipping northwest extension of the Lunchroom zone.
  • The 2016 drilling continues to encounter high grade values in previously untested northwest portions of the flat lying 602 zone. In this release this includes P16-1212 with an uncut average of 90.20 g/t gold over a core length of 1.00 meter within a broader interval grading 11.07 g/t Au over 9.60 meters and P16-1215 with an uncut average of 88.90 g/t gold over a core length of 1.00 meter within a broader interval grading 14.79 g/t Au over 7.70 meters, as well as P16-1219 with an uncut average of 81.00 g/t gold over a core length of 1.00 meter within a broader interval grading 8.15 g/t Au over 23.00 meters.
  • One of the final holes of the season intersected an extension 200 meters to the northwest of the Northern Lights system which opens up the system in a totally unexplored area. P16-1223 has an average of 4.65 g/t gold over a core length of 26.00 meters.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control

Analytical work is being carried out by ALS Lab Group. Quality assurance and quality control programs include the use of analytical blanks and standards and duplicates in addition to the labs own internal quality assurance program. All samples were analyzed using multi-digestion with ICP finish and fire assay with AA finish for gold. Samples over 100 ppm silver were reanalyzed using four acid digestion with an ore grade AA finish. Samples over 1,500 ppm silver were fire assayed with a gravimetric finish. Samples with over 10 ppm gold were fire assayed with a gravimetric finish. Identified or suspected metallic gold or silver are subjected to "metallics" assays. Also for extreme high gold grades a concentrate analysis is performed with a fire assay and gravimetric finish accurate up to 999985 ppm Au limit (ALS Au-CON01) method. Sampling and storage are at the company's secure facility in Stewart with bi-weekly sample shipments made to ALS Labs Terrace prep site.
